We lift old coverings, check the subfloor and fix any loose boards. Timber floors are overboarded with ply, then levelled and primed. The tiles are left in the room to acclimatise before fitting.
Planning
Period rooms are rarely square, so we set out the floor carefully before fitting. Herringbone and chevron are lined up with the main doorway and the room's focal point, so any small differences are hidden at the edges.
Installation
Tiles are glued and rolled down one by one, with cuts scribed neatly around architraves, fireplaces, bay windows and pipework.
Completion
We clean up thoroughly and walk you round the finished floor, so you can check every detail with us before we go.
We clear the space, prepare the subfloor by ensuring it’s dry and free from any dust or residue, and ensure the LVT is acclimatised to the conditions.
Planning
While we measure up when preparing a quote, we perform a more detailed measuring process when it’s time to start fitting the floor. This process can vary depending on the type of LVT flooring we’re dealing with.
Installation
We may lay the first row of luxury vinyl tiles along the centre of the floor – or the starting line we believe most appropriate. We then continue to either lock or glue them into place, ensuring we make pin point cuts around door frames and other obstacles.
Completion
We will clean the entire floor before offering a final inspection of your new floor.
